ClockLab ("the app") is a local clock, alarm, and weather-display app. You do not need an account to use it. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

ClockLab does not create accounts, collect email addresses, use advertising identifiers, include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, or sell personal information.

The app stores clock and alarm preferences locally on your device. To show weather, ClockLab sends the city you enter (city, region, and country) to Open-Meteo, a third-party weather service. ClockLab does not use GPS or device location to look up weather.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Time format, temperature unit, clock layout, brightness, alarm times and sounds, selected clock faces, and the weather city you choose are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This information remains on your device unless included in your own device backup.

If you skip first-run setup, weather defaults to New York City, time format defaults to 12-hour, temperature defaults to Fahrenheit, and clock layout defaults to single line.

3. Weather

To show current conditions and forecast, ClockLab sends the city, region, and country you enter to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). Open-Meteo processes that request according to its own privacy policy. ClockLab does not receive a user account from Open-Meteo and does not share other personal information with that service.

4. Alarms and Notifications

Alarm times, labels, repeat days, and sound choices are stored locally. ClockLab uses notifications, exact alarms, vibration, full-screen intent, wake lock, and boot-completed events only to ring and restore the alarms you set after you lock the phone or restart it.

5. Advertising

ClockLab does not display advertisements and does not use Google AdMob or the Android Advertising ID.

6. Permissions

The app may use the following permissions:

• Internet access (for weather lookup)
• Notifications (for alarm alerts)
• Exact alarms and boot completed (to schedule and restore alarms)
• Full-screen intent and wake lock (so an alarm can appear when the screen is off)
• Vibration (optional alarm vibration)

7. Children

ClockLab is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Any material changes will be reflected in an updated version of the app and this page.
